Helping Hand

While I don't recall all the details, I remember arriving at the trail club meeting, having just broken down on the interstate.  Dewey found out and handed me the keys to his car.  I was able to get to the auto parts store, purchase a new brake wheel cylinder install it and get back to the meeting.   

On the Appalachian Trail Dewey seemed to always be at the trail maintenance weekends lending his helping hands. 

I was his house one time, somehow we got to talking about the Boy Scouts ~ Dewey went to a drawer and proudly pulled out his Eagle Badge.

A member of the greatest generation, like my father.  Dewey look up Dave & Dot Brewer and go for a hike.
