VIRGINIA BEACH—David Wayne LaConte, 58, of the 4500 block of Revere Drive, was killed November 13, 2009 in Afghanistan. A native of Milwaukee, WI, he was the husband of Robin Gariepy LaConte and the son of Joyce Hendricks LaConte and the late Steven LaConte. He was a Navy Seal who retired as a Senior Chief with 23 years of service and was currently employed as an independent contractor working in Afghanistan.

Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by a daughter, Courtney LaConte; a son, Cody LaConte; his mother; two sisters, Luanne Wrobbel and Diane Tutton; a brother, Steven LaConte; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 21st at 11 a.m. in First Baptist Church, Norfolk with Rev. Ron Lee officiating. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Naval Special Warfare Foundation, P. O.
