Condolence: This year turned out to be very difficult. But we have optimized and reduced the cost of our products!
It is almost impossible to find prices lower than ours, the sale is at the cost price level.
Watch and be surprised by our super low prices https://cutt.us/6nChw

Condolence From: Eric Arumae
Condolence: My thoughts fall on Dave fondly, as a SEAL warrior and as a great friend. I remember as a SEAL Platoon commander playing chess with him on "steel beach" for hours on our SEAL team deployment amphib ship to Westpac during the 1970's. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Dave overseas. But now my condolences go to Mrs. Laconte and family. He is in the best of places. Eric.

Condolence: The Laconte family are in my prayers. My brother Randy was a roomate and Navy Seal with Dave and I had the privalige to come from Illinois to work with the San Diego Sheriff Department as a college internship in 1977. Dave and John Cymbal both became roomates and great friends to me. We had great times together and I look back at that as one of the best times in my life. I will miss both Dave and John but know I will see them again. God bless you all. Love, Steve

Condolence: In your time of grief, my heart goes out to the entire LaConte family. Dave was a really great guy! My memories of him go back to BUD/S where as an officer in BUD/S Class 68 I welcomed and introduced myself to Dave and his classmates in BUD/S Class 69. Not only did we share BUD/S training together, like Dave I also came from Milwaukee, so naturally Dave and I had a lot in common, i.e., a love of Milwaukee beers, brats, Packers, etc. In fact, throughout the years whenever we met sharing news of and memories about Milwaukee was always part of our greeting each other. After BUD/S, our career paths crossed several times in the Teams for the next twenty plus years until I retired in 1991. Possibly my fondest memory of Dave is when we both were in SEAL Team 1, and with three other ST-1 SEALs, received orders to attend a special 6-week SEAL EOD class at the Navy's EOD school in Indian Head, MD. While our orders authorized us round-trip commercial plane fare, ST-1 was too cheap/poor to give us the funding needed for rental cars while attending the school. Since we all wanted to be able to explore the East Coast area while we were at the school, we decided that we would drive to Indian Head in a convoy consisting of a panel van (crammed with luggage, Dave's motorcycle, and one barrack cot mattress), and my 1971 Corvette Stingray convertible. Our plan was to drive all the way non-stop except for gas and food breaks, and to rotate the four car-seat and one cot positions every four hours so that everyone got a chance to catch some shut-eye on the cot in the van. Good plan, but it didn't work out that way. Instead, Dave became my co-driver in the Corvette the entire 40+ hour trip to the East Coast. Believe me, Dave and I shared a lot of laughs and stories on that adventure keeping each other awake. More than that, while sitting together in the confined cockpit of my Corvette, I learned that Dave was truly a fantastic guy, had a heart of gold, had a big smile, a huge laugh, and was a good friend! I cherish that memory! My deepest sympathy goes out to all of Dave's family. Bob Nelson

Condolence From: Robynne Catheron
Condolence: Robyn, Courtney and Cody: We always enjoyed visiting with Dave at Cody's horseshows. He thoroughly enjoyed being there when he was home, and it was wonderful to see how supportive he was of Cody and Buck. But we got the biggest kick out of him when he watched Cody and Lightning run those barrels- his whole face would just light up. He never took his eyes off his son and that little horse as they raced around the arena at break-neck speed, and he was always their biggest, and loudest, cheerleader. As Navy retirees ourselves, we were especially honored to know of the deeply profound dedication and sacrifice Dave continued to provide for our country after his own retirement. Bravo Zulu, shipmate. Robyn, our prayers are with you and and Courtney and Cody. May the Lord bless you and keep you in His warm embrace during this difficult time.

Condolence: My most heartfelt condolences to the LaConte family. I had the distinct honor and pleasure of serving with Dave during his tour at SDVT-2. Dave will always be remembered for his Hollywood smile, his infectious positive attitude, his techinical skills as a highly effective operator and mostly to me for his frendship. Dave you'll remain forever in my mind and my prayers. I am deeply sadden by his loss and offer my deepest sympathy to his family. May god keep him close, because in heaven as he was on earth he is like no other, he is one of the best.

Condolence: Robin, Courtney, and Cody: I met Dave about 10 years ago when Todd DeGhetto recommended him to me as someone I could trust to fix my heater/air conditioner. I learned to trust him like I trust Todd. He was an excellent man who put the lives of his customers first. I even had to send him home one cold night when he could not figure out what was wrong with my heater. I saw him again last summer when I contacted him about some work that I needed done at my house. He recommended Dave Phillips. I said, "Do you trust him." He told me that he did so, since I trusted Dave, I hired Dave Phillips without consulting other contractors. I enjoyed laughing with him while he was tearing out my old back porch, cutting trees, and getting my place for the major renovation on the outside - it is georgous - all because of Dave. I will never forget him and his thoughtfulness. Robin, I will continue to keep you and the kids in my daily prayers. If you ever have a chance, get the book, With God By Your Side You Never Have To Be Alone. The Monday after Dave's passing, I opened it for my daily reading. The title of the next selection was "Someone's Watching Over You." by Barbara J. Hall. I began to cry and had to tell myself quite a few times that Dave wants us all to be happy.

Condolence From: Jim "Moose" Sauer
Condolence: Robin, Courtney, Cody,

It was my privilege to have worked with Dave during the spring, summer and fall of 2006. He was an extraordinarily brave man, and a good friend. I only saw him once since then (around December of that year) as we crossed paths at a hotel in Virginia. However, my fondest memories of Dave involve “Cigar Operations” that we would hold each night on the roof of our place in the “sand box”. In the late afternoon we would make a big deal out of which cigars we would smoke, and the merits of Connecticut tobacco v. Cuban v. Dominican and other Caribbean tobaccos. Once we figured out the “Op Order”, we’d proceed to the roof, and the “retired” SEAL and the “retired” Marine would blow smoke at each other for at least an hour or two. Of course, there is really no such thing as a “retired” SEAL or Marine.

One night in the spring of ’06, we were enjoying some Connecticut Valley “Maduros” on the roof on a reasonably cool and pleasant evening when a pair of rockets impacted the roof of the building next to us. Shrapnel flew all over the place. I ducked behind some sand bags, but Dave went over the edge jumping about 20 feet to the next deck. When the dust settled, I called out to him to see if he was OK. He shouted back “I lost the damn cigar!”

I am deeply saddened at your loss – our loss. There could be no finer friend, no fiercer warrior, and no greater patriot.

“Fair Winds and Following Seas”

Semper Fidelis,

Jim “Moose” Sauer
