Joan and Family,
Sue and I are so sorry to hear of Harlan's passing and extend to you and the family our sincere condolences. He was, know doubt, one of the finest individual that one had the pleasure of knowing and working with. Unquestionable, he was one of the most competent and hard working professionals. His professionalism, competencies and influence extended well beyond the classroom and the football field. He mentored many young people. He modeled the qualities that influenced young people to develop their life-qualities. Those mentored under his watch maintain the highest regard, respect and admiration for him and that is his legacy.

Sincely,
John W. Kilpatrick
