My dear mother in law...I will never forget the first day I spent with you, sitting in your kitchen watching you make two pecan pies. We had met only once before that while I was dating your beautiful daughter Janice. I was alone with you in the kitchen that day, Janice had gone to work, and I was very nervous. You were, as you always were, loving and caring and compassionate. You made me feel at ease, and at home. You asked me then one simple question "do you love Janice?" It surprised me a bit, but I of course answered "yes." You smiled, and said "that is all I need to know." From that day on you were my "other mom." You put your trust in a simple answer to a simple question. You loved me dearly I know, and I loved you dearly as well, and always will. I have never known anyone quite like you and probably never will. You have blessed my life with your kindness, thoughtfulnees, beauty and eternal smile. Thank you.
