CHESAPEAKE – Bessie Linton White, 94, formerly of Hull Street went to be with the Lord October 3, 2010 in Chesapeake. A native of Norfolk County, she was the daughter of the late Harry C. and Fannie Brothers Linton and the widow of Claude G. White. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, WMU, and a nursery worker for 40 years. She worked for Graham Funeral Home and Truitt Jr. High School.

She is survived by a son-in-law, Todd M. Hayen of Burbank, CA; a sister-in-law, Doris Linton of Chesapeake; several nieces and nephews; and her dear friend Charlie Gray. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice White Hayen.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Southside Baptist Church, 1207 Perry Street, Chesapeake with Pastor Terry Riddle officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
