KNOTTS ISLAND, NC- Wallace “Ray” Rawls, 40, passed away too soon on January 18, 2016. He was born in Norfolk, VA to Ray Rawls and Nancy Dozier. Ray was an avid Redskins fan who enjoyed fantasy football, bowling and living the way he wanted. He was a generous, caring and giving person who was known for always helping the underdogs.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 12 years, Anita M. Rawls; loving mother and step-father, Nancy and Horace Dozier; loving father and step-mother, Ray and Frances Rawls; sisters, Laurie Batten (David) and Jennifer Bozeman (Michael); nieces, Chelsey Stewart, Grace, Chloe and Abigail Bozeman; special K-9 companions, Baby Girl “Sissie” and Baby Boy “Storm” and numerous other loving family and friends.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at New Temple Grove Ministries, 3972 S. Military Hwy, Chesapeake, VA 23321 with Pastor Connie McDonald officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
