Graham Funeral Home

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Duane Wingood can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Role Model

We many not have always gotten along or agreed on the same ways or thoughts on things, but one thing is forsure is that i know this man looked at me as a son, he was there ever since my father passed away in 2001. We had our ups and down as i said, one specific memory was me sitting on the corner of Wilbur Ave and Rodgers Street watching him work on his trucks and wanting to go down there, but i was too scared because a few days before this i was helping him work on the truck and was putting on a mudflap and didnt do it right and it came shooting off the truck and he decided to call me every name under the sun, which if anybody knows him knows that wasnt too awful hard. But he eventually let me back and told me what i did wrong and how to correct it and then still made me do it all over again! At the end of the day, he had a big heart even if it took alot of digging to get to it, it was there! Ill absoletly never forget all the truck rides and all the fun memories i had and everything he taught me, from being a mechanic to teaching me how to drive cars and eighteen wheelers, it was an amazing experience and ill never be able to thank him enough for it!

Love you duane, miss you, wish i could call and talk to you right now, because im sure you would be yelliing at me for something! Rest easy, ill see you and my dad and everbody else when i get there! But until then, yall lookout for all of us here!
