Condolence: Dear Teresa, Trey, Ben and Claire...
I was stunned to hear of Chip's passing and would have most certainly been at the memorial service for him this past weekend if I had known about it. Tears came to my eyes when I saw his precious face on this memorial page. So many dear memories came flooding back.
What a gifted pastor and teacher. I will forever hold dear the years my children and I spent under his pastoring at Bethel -- he was such a blessing to our little broken family at that time. Bethel played a big part in our healing process as I found myself unwillingly a single mom of 3 little ones. We found love and a new family at Bethel. We all adored Chip.
May the peace of God wash over you all as you journey on for a season without your husband/father by your side. What a joy to know we will one day see Chip again! Praise the Lord for His victory over death!! What joy it brings to now Chip is now enjoying the presence of his Lord in person and the glories of our eternal home.

Condolence: We have so many happy memories of Pastor Chip. Words cannot express our sympathy. He leaves such a legacy and was truly an inspiration. This world is a better place because of him. Mrs. Teresa, Ben and Claire, please know you are on our hearts and in our prayers.

What a inspiration was Chip in my life, his passion for church planting helped me when I was planting the Hispanic Church in Norfolk. Praise God for such a man who loved his Savior, loved his wife & family and loved his church. Blessings!

Condolence: Praying for you all as you grieve the loss of this wonderful man. I grew up with Chip and knew his family well. He touched so many lives and I rejoice in knowing he is with the one he served so faithfully and is enjoying the reward for being a faithful servant. We WILL see him again..glory to God!

Condolence: I would like to say to Pastor Chips wife that I am so sorry for your loss. You must know that GOD had a bigger job for him than the job he did on earth even tho he is missed so badly.
I am so thankful to have met "Chip" Roberson. He made a profound change in my life. Back in 1991 me and a friend of mine went to meet Pastor Chip and ask him if he would marry me and my then girlfriend. Before I knew it Chip had brought me and my friend to the lord I had been saved. Hit me like a truck. WOW what an AWSOME man. Chip counciled me and my girlfriend before he would marry us. I am truly thankful for having known Chip because he brought me to the lord. My life has not been the same since. I often think of Pastor Chip throughout the years since then. I now live in Moyock NC and soon found out Chip and Pastor Harrington of Fellowship Baptist were great friends go figure Chip is everywhere truly everywhere. I was at the Sunday night service at Fellowship Baptist when Pastor Roberson kicked off his shoes and began preaching. He was so at home in front of the congragation. We have lost a truly great Pastor in Chip. He will be greatly missed.
