Please accept our sincerest condolences on the passing of Chaplain Wicker. Our story that involves him is a wonderful one. In the summer of 1973, having just begun a career of service in the Army, we sought his counsel on getting married. Ours was to be (and thankfully continues to ths day) a marriage of two faiths, Jewish and Presbyterian. Chaplain Fenton worked with us to design a wedding service that was respectful to both faiths and which both families embraced. We so appreciated his thoughtful counsel and caring. We were married on October 27, 1973 in the chapel at Fort Lee in Petersburg. It remains one of the best moments of our lives, thanks in large part to Chaplain Wicker. Ann and Rob Krebs.
