VIRGINIA BEACH—Thelma Louise Stepp, 83, went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2005 in Norfolk. A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Jennie Russell and the wife of the late John Henry Stepp, Jr. She was retired from Western Union and from the City of Virginia Beach as a billing clerk. She was a member of Deep Creek United Methodist Church, the Mary Tyus Sunday School Class, and served for many years as a teller for the church.

Surviving are two sisters, Margaret O’Donnell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Carolyn Harris and her husband, John of Bryan, TX; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mae Haskins, Marie Whitehurst, and Evelyn Forbes.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in Deep Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Danny Kesner officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions should be made to Deep Creek United Methodist Church, 141 N.
