Obituary for Swanson Thomas Morris

Swanson "Swanie" Thomas Morris, 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior August 5, 2018. Swanie was born in Princess Anne County, Virginia to the late Charles Thomas and Virginia Ackiss Morris and was the loving husband of 60 years to the late Mary Frances Morris. Besides his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Claude. He retired after 30+ years of service with the Ford Motor Company and was a longtime member of Kempsville Christian Church. Swanie was an avid golfer and fisherman but his greatest love was to be with his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Pamela Pace (Joe); sons, Bobby (Robin), Joey (Debbie), and David (Meagan); grandchildren, Robbie (Ashley), Kristina (Clint), Tiffany, and Amanda; great grandchildren, Hannah, Shawn, Josiah, and Elijah; and a host of other family and friends.

A celebration of Swanie's life will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Kempsville Christian Church, 5424 Parliament Drive, Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to Kempsville Christian Church, whose ministry meant a great deal to him and Mary. Graham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Please visit www.grahamfuneralhome.com to leave a condolence to the family.
