Obituary

Stanley Worth Swain, 81, passed away April 4, 2020. Stanley was born in Chesapeake, Virginia to the late Acey and Viva Brownley Swain. He was also predeceased by a son, Kevin Stanley Swain; stepdaughter, Susan Diane Jones; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters. He served his country in the U.S. Army, subsequently retired from ET Gresham Co. after 40 years and was a 54-year member of Local 147 Operating Engineers.
Left to cherish his memory is daughters, Cathy Lynn Fisher, Deborah Ann Gilmore, Mary Christine Church; loving companion, Doris E. Brickhouse; stepdaughter, Trisha “Pat” Richardson; 3 sisters, Estelle, Betty and Marion; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. A private graveside service will be held for the family. Please visit www.grahamfuneralhome.com leave a condolence to the family.

Doris , Betty, Marion and Stanley's Family, How very sorry I was to hear of Stanley's passing. What a shock when I was told. I met this wonderful man and I know he was because Doris told me so, and what I witnessed ,he was. He left behind many happy memories and I pray they will help you through the hard times.
