CHESAPEAKE—Ruby Evelyn Harman Odom, 67, of the 100 block of Ridgewood Road, went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2005 in Chesapeake. A native of Beaufort Co., NC, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Walter and Eula Cayton Harman. She was a member of Laurel Avenue Church of Christ, Chesapeake.

Surviving are her husband, William R. Odom, Sr.; a daughter, Sonja Beiler and her husband, John of Delaplane, VA; six sons, William Rodger Odom, Jr. and his wife, Betsy of Suffolk; John W. Odom and his wife, Michelle of Woolwine, VA; Mark K. Odom and his wife, Stephanie and Michael A. Odom and his wife, Melissa, all of Chesapeake; Timothy W. Odom and his wife, Terri of Moyock, NC; and Danny Odom and his wife, Kathy of Virginia Beach; a sister, Kathryn Chaparro of New Bern, NC; three brothers, Joseph Allen Harman of Fredericksburg, VA; Steve Harman of Hampton, VA; and Wayne Harman of Garland, NC; four half brothers and one half sister; fifteen grandchildren, Kimberly, Michelle, Lori, Keri, Mark, Melisa, Maxine, Sara, Matthew, Danny, Jonathan, Timmy, David, Amy, and Jessica; and ten great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in Laurel Avenue Church of Christ, 1126 Laurel Avenue, Chesapeake with Pastor. Don Phelps. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake and at the residence at all other times.
