Ronald Lee Stukey, 72 passed away suddenly February 2, 2012. He was born in Ohio to the late Roy and Bessie Arman Stukey. Served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam, was a member of Hickory United Methodist Church, The Kempsville Masonic Lodge #196 AF & AM and had retired from Baker Roofing Company. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a step-son, Kevin W. McCown.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Joyce E. Stukey; sons, Dr. R. John Stukey of Peru, Indiana, and Jeff R. Stukey and his wife, Teri of Englewood, Ohio; step-daughter, Shawn Williams and her husband, James of Virginia Beach; step-son, Keith McCown and his wife, Victoria of Glen Allen, Virginia; grandchildren, Meri Daughten, Angela Stukey, Sam Stukey, Rebecca Frohlich, Brian Evaldi, Jacob McCown, and Zachary McCown; great grandchildren, Lillian Lorchak and Christa Fleck.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at Hickory United Methodist Church on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 11 am with Rev. Tom Mercer, Sr. officiating with military honors. Following the service a reception will be held in the church social hall. Memorial contributions should be made to Hickory United Methodist Church or the Salvation Army.
