Robert F. Cooper, 78, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 11, 2016 after a long illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Martha; his daughters, S. Cooper and Patty Hutton; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He served 25 years in the U.S. Navy including the Vietnam War, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer.
A service to celebrate his life with full military honors will be held Wednesday, Dec. 14 , at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart or Lung Association.
