CHESAPEAKE—Rebecca C. Hartley, 75, of the 2900 block of Rodgers Street, died on March 6, 2004 in Norfolk. A native of Washington, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Alonzo and Helen Lesner Spry and the wife of the late Charlie Edward Hartley, Sr. She was retired after 30 years of service in the Pharmacy Department of Revco Drug Company and was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Chesapeake.

She is survived by two sons, Charlie E. Hartley, Jr. and his wife, Rebecca of Washington, NC and Arthur A. Hartley and his wife, Brenda of Chesapeake; two sisters, Mary E. Lindsay and Eleanor R. Spry, both of Fremont, NC; seven grandchildren, Cheryl Black, Sandy Murphy, Keith Alexander, Lisa Woolard, Michelle White, Terri Ainsley, and Billy Hartley; and 12 great grandchildren, Britany Black, Avery Woolard, Samantha White, Hannah Black, Patience Hartley, Ryan Ainsley, Sarah Woolard, Bridget Ainsley, Kathryn White, Morgan Murphy, Kayla Hartley, and Colin Alexander. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Hartley Alexander.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel with Rev. Nelson Koonce officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the residence at all other times. Friends may sign the guest register at www.grahamfuneralhome.com.
