CHESAPEAKE—Rebecca Roberta Eanes, 82, of the 900 block of Avalon Avenue, went to be with the Lord on Thursday in Chesapeake. A native of Pennsylvania County, VA, she was the daughter of the late John and Bessie Hankins, and the wife of the late Ruben Eanes, Sr. She was a homemaker and a member of Tidewater Baptist Temple.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Ann Ashley of Chesapeake; two sons, Donald G. Eanes, Sr. and his wife, Sandra of Chesapeake and Ruben Wayne Eanes of Suffolk; a sister, Lois Pickle of Lynchburg, VA; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Riverside Memorial Park with Pastor Charles Pearson officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7-8 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake and at the residence at all other times.
