Obituary for Mae Isabel Tabbanor
Ms. Mae Isabel Tabbanor, 95, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018.
Born in Harlem, NY, She attended Lincoln School for Nurses and became a registered nurse with the state of New York. Mae also graduated with a masters degree in Nursing from Columbia University. She then worked in India and Indonesia establishing hospitals as a Nurse and Hospital Administrator for the World Health Organization until she retired.
Left to cherish Mae's memory are her loving nephew, Edward N. Tabbanor, Sr. and his wife Darlyne of Virginia Beach; great-nephew, Edward N. Tabbanor, Jr. of Richmond, VA; three great-nieces, Erica Tabbanor Coleman, Michelle A. Tabbanor and Elizabeth J. Tabbanor, all of Virginia Beach; and great great-nephew, John E. Coleman, IV of Virginia Beach.
The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 1 p.m. The celebration of her life will be held promptly at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel.
