CHESAPEAKE – Kay Elaine Hipp, 61, of the 1200 block of Kingsway Drive, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on August 7, 2005. A native of Hickory, NC, she was the daughter of the late James R. and Virgie Key Shook. She enjoyed decorating her home, and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Hoover Hipp, of Chesapeake; two daughters, Tana M. Hipp-McNulla and her husband, Floyd of Norfolk and Monica “Niki” Weaver and her husband, Scott of Tulsa, OK; a son, Chuck R. Hipp and his wife, Janet of Yorktown; a granddaughter, Kaileigh Marie Weaver; four grandsons, Justin Curtis, Evan and Andrew Hipp, and Mason Weaver; and a “sister,” Rickey Jo Worth and her husband, Chip and their family of Sanford, FL.

A funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake with Rev. Dave Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the residence at all other times.
