CHESAPEAKE – Kathryn Price White 70, went home to be with her Lord February 11, 2005 with her family by her side. She was born in Aurora, North Carolina to the late Vernon Wallace Price and Katie Bennett Price of Chesapeake. Besides her father she was predeceased by the love of her life for over 47 years Norman H. White, Sr. She was a member of Edenton Baptist Church and a former member of Indian River Baptist Church, Chesapeake where she served faithfully in the music ministry at each of her churches. She was a Past President of the Tidewater Association of Medical Assistants and was also honored one year as Medical Assistant of the Year.

Besides her mother she is survived by a daughter, Patrice W. Taylor and her husband, Russell of Chesapeake; two sons, Norman Hardy White, Jr. and his wife Lorri of Mooresville, NC and Vernon Martin White and his wife, Tammie of Chesapeake; seven grandchildren, Lauren, Megan, Caroline, Haden, Tabitha, Jonathan, and Nathan; two sisters, Virginia Snow of Chesapeake and Lillian Murch of Virginia Beach; and a brother William E. Price of Chesapeake.

A home going service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Indian River Baptist Church, 1600 Laurel Avenue, Chesapeake with Pastor Charles Moseley officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake and at 113 Greengable Way, Chesapeake at all other times.
