CHESAPEAKE—Judy Griffin Cousins, 58, of the 2800 block of Omar Street, went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2005 in Chesapeake. She was born in Tarboro, NC to the late Edward A. and Maggie Irene Braddy Griffin and was raised on Knotts Island, NC.

She is survived by a son, Alfred B. “Cuz” Cousins, Jr. of Chesapeake; five sisters, Patsy Rutherford of Cairo, MO; Peggy Daniels of Centerburg, OH; and Christina DaFoe, Emmy Lou Wyant, and Joan Durie, all of Richmond, VA; five brothers, Gregory Griffin of Knotts Island, NC; Dwayne Griffin and Eugene Hall, both of Richmond, VA; Mathew Hall of New Jersey; and Robin Cousins of Virginia Beach; Stepmother, Emma Griffin of Knotts Island, NC; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend whom she lived with for many years, who loved and cared for her as a mother, Frances B. “Ms. Cuz” Cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Edward Griffin.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake with Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood officiating. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. Please share a memory with the family at www.grahamfuneralhome.com.
