CHESAPEAKE—Joseph “Joey” Marshall Miller, Jr., 33, of the 600 block of Hillwell Road, died April 2, 2004 in Chesapeake. Born April 2, 1971 in Portsmouth, Joey was a lifelong resident of Chesapeake and was recognized for his expertise as a welder.

Joey is survived by his mother and stepfather, Arona and Doug Richard of Staunton, VA. and his father and stepmother Joseph Marshall Miller, Sr and Cheryle Miller of Virginia Beach; two sons, Joseph Marshall Miller, III and Brody Wade Miller and their mother, Charlene Midgett, all of Chesapeake; one sister, Amber Arona Miller of Richmond, VA; his maternal grandfather, Harry Parsons, Sr. of Chesapeake; paternal grandmother, Beulah “Mom Miller” of Norfolk, his dear friend, Susan Sheppard, his loving “NuNu” and a host of loving family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12 Noon at Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel with Rev. Ben Bonnici officiating. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Joey and Brody Miller Education Fund, C/O Community Bank, 621 Nevan Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23451.
