Brian Palmer

To Ms. Josie, I got the word late last night and was shocked to hear the departure of my friend. Jim was there for me when I needed him most, in the most desperate of times. Jim was one of the last "true" auto mechanics. Jim would find a way to fit me in, even when his garage was overcrowded, even when his help for the week didn't show up. I remember times when my car would have something go wrong with it in the middle of the night, I could call Jim and he would say... "Just leave the keys in the car and I will have it to you by the end of the day." Sure enough, when I got off of work, my car was good as new and ready to go again. During the initial days of when Jim was getting really sick, I was able to spend a little time after work with him, (trying to keep his spirits up), and I will never forget what he told me. He said, "Brian, I thought I would never say this, but if there really is a God above, I am ready to meet him!" Ms. Josie, I will truly miss my friend and am sorry for your loss. It has got to be the most difficult to outlive your children. The Palmer Family send their love to you and yours on this blessed day. Brian
