To Ms. Josie, I got the word late last night and was shocked to hear the departure of my friend. Jim was there for me when I needed him most, in the most desperate of times. Jim was one of the last "true" auto mechanics. Jim would find a way to fit me in, even when his garage was overcrowded, even when his help for the week didn't show up. I remember times when my car would have something go wrong with it in the middle of the night, I could call Jim and he would say... "Just leave the keys in the car and I will have it to you by the end of the day." Sure enough, when I got off of work, my car was good as new and ready to go again. During the initial days of when Jim was getting really sick, I was able to spend a little time after work with him, (trying to keep his spirits up), and I will never forget what he told me. He said, "Brian, I thought I would never say this, but if there really is a God above, I am ready to meet him!" Ms. Josie, I will truly miss my friend and am sorry for your loss.
