George Donald Cagle, Sr., 67, of the 900 block of Sunnyside Drive, went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2011. A native of Norfolk, he was the son of the late George L. and Nellie Irene Green Cagle. A salesman with Sherman-Williams Paints, he was a member of Indian River Baptist Church.
Surviving are his loving wife, Yvonne K. Cagle; a son, George D. “Donnie” Cagle, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn; a daughter, Donna Gonzalez and her husband, Steve; four grandchildren, Emmy and Ethan Cagle and Sabrina and Tyler Gonzalez; and a step-grandson, Chris Gonzalez.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park with Rev. Fred Bunner officiating. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral home, Chesapeake on Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimers Association.
