CHESAPEAKE - Doris Louise Jensen, of the 1200 block of Brigade Drive, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her beloved family. Born January 2, 1928 in Roanoke, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Burnetta McCune Hoal. Doris loved to dance and could be found with her husband, dancing to ballroom music every Saturday night. She was a member of the Harbour Point Cotillion in Portsmouth, the Nansemond Cotillion Club of Suffolk, and the Portsmouth Moose, Chapter 966.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, James Christian Jensen; a daughter, Barbara Turlington and her husband, Timothy of Chesapeake; a son, Roger Jensen and his wife, Becky of Virginia Beach; five granddaughters, Jennifer Jensen of Hurricane, WV, and Stephanie Jensen, Ashley Turlington, Cali Turlington, and Crystal McCray, all of Chesapeake; and a great-granddaughter, Keelee Jensen of Hurricane, WV.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, 1112 Kempsville Road with Chaplain Marie Pogorelec officiating. Please share a memory with the family at www.grahamfuneralhome.com.
