CHESAPEAKE--Daisy Mae Rawls Rogerson, 86, went home to be with the Lord March 22, 2004. Born in Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Joe Jerry Rawls and Jennie Inez Mobley Rawls and was the wife of the late William Louis Rogerson, Sr. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Chesapeake. A former member of the Saints Alive Singers and Great Bridge Senior Citizens Club, she was the former chaplain of the Cambridge Senior Citizens Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Joan R. Jones and her husband, Ronald of Chesapeake and D. Mae Guy of Virginia Beach; two sons, William L. Rogerson, Jr. and his wife, Helen of Richmond, VA and James J. Rogerson and his wife, Phyllis of Moyock, NC; four sisters, Marie Jones, Marlene Smith, and Naomi Page all of Chesapeake, and Eva Festa of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Merrill Rawls, John Rawls, and Thomas Rawls, all of Chesapeake; eleven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 pm at Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake with Pastor Dave Libengood officiating with burial to follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
