CHESAPEAKE - Cora Lee Davenport, 87, of the 300 block of McCosh Drive died January 14, 2004 in Chesapeake. A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Emmit Franklin and Cora Lee Nichols Hickman and the wife of the late Jack Ward Davenport, Sr.

She is survived by two sons, Jack W. Davenport, Jr. of Chesapeake and James Franklin Davenport of Norfolk; a daughter-in-law, Michelle Mero of Chesapeake; one granddaughter, Linda Christine Coffman of Tennessee; one grandson, Richard Jeffrey Franklin of Virginia Beach; and several nieces and a nephew.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, with Rev. Mary Strickland officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may sign the guest register at www.grahamfuneralhome.com.
