CHESAPEAKE-Annie Elizabeth Pearce Crocker, 77, of the 3700 block of Sandpiper Lane, went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2008 in Chesapeake. A native of Henderson, NC, she was the daughter of the late Fred T. and Annie Bell Breedlove Pearce. She was a retired State Tax supervisor with the Commissioner of Revenue’s office for the City of Chesapeake and a member of Indian River Baptist Church.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Herman Waverly Crocker; two daughters, Debra C. Speight and her husband, Edward Bertram of Chesapeake, and Denise C. Armbruster and her husband, Terrence of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren, Mark Edward Speight and his wife, Summer, Megan Elizabeth Speight, Mary Elizabeth Armbruster, and David Edison Armbruster; two sisters, Peggy Davis and Janet Brizuela of Henderson, NC; sister-in-law, Elsie Mae Pearce of Henderson, NC. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Wayne Pearce.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Indian River Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park.
