Mother in law

My wonderful wife Peggy Chadwick mother Nancy Piper passed away suddenly Friday afternoon.  This was a shock to all of us, and is very hard to deal with.  You see Nancy has been a huge part of our lives since the beginning.  When my son Matthew was born Grandma Nancy moved hundreds of miles to be closer to her daughter and family to help us where needed, but she didn't stop there. She was also there when Kaylie Jo was born and flew to the UK and stayed with us for months after Amanda was born.  I say this because I don't want the sacrifices that my mother-in-law made for my family to go in-noticed.  Over the 27 years my wife gave to the U.S. Navy her mother up-rooted herself on four separate occasions and moved thousands of miles to be near her daughter and grand children.  I feel she gave up a lot to ensure my family had much more.  So in the spirit of thanksgiving what am I most thankful for?  That would be Nancy Piper a one of kind Mother, G-ma, in-law, and friend.  Thank you Gum's from the bottom of my heart. You will be missed.
