My memories of Mr (and Mrs) Martin are many. I recall how both JT and Velma loved to work with the youth at church when I was a youth. I'll never forget one especially fun time when a huge group of young people piled onto a large piece of ply board, which Mr Martin pulled with a tractor around the golf course located behind his house. He'd make a turn and we'd go rolling off, grass and dirt in our teeth and hair, laughing at the tops of our lungs! Great fun! Having just lost my own father recently, my heart goes out to all the family. I live too far away to attend the memorial service tomorrow, but you will be close in my heart and mind.
