Mildred Mae Giles, 97, of Peaceful Road passed away February 3, 2017. Mildred was born in Norfolk County to the late Shelby and Maude Smith. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband, Willie A. Giles, Sr.; a son, Harold Shelby Giles; brother, Linwood Smith; grandson, Shelby Lee Giles; and granddaughter, Brenda Sue Stevenson.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jeanette G. Faircloth, Gaynell G. Garrett (Paul), Rosalie G. Collins, and Cindy G. Parker (Mark); son, Willie A. Giles, Jr. (Jenny); 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Gib Hale officiating. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
