Randolph Paul  Parker
Randolph Paul Parker (R.P.) of Chesapeake, VA was born on January 22, 1927 and passed into God's presence on October 4, 2015. R.P. was a committed husband and father who loved his family unconditionally. He had a personal relationship with his Lord, Jesus Christ. R.P. enjoyed adventures through his many occupations. For 20 years, he proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy where he earned 13 battle stars during World War II. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer. R.P. was a man of determination and drive. He had a strong work ethic and was a gifted contractor and with his many talents, he founded Parker Reality Company. R.P. owned a farm in Buckingham, VA. He loved the beautiful land of God's masterpiece draped with rolling hills and lush green pastures. He also had a passion for cooking and was the owner of R.P.'s Restaurant in the Hickory area.

R.P. was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his family & friends. He savored every moment he spent with his wife of 68 years, Laura Woolard Parker. He is also survived by his son, James Randolph Parker & his wife, Barbara; daughter, Linda Parker St, John & her husband, Bill; two grandsons, Robbie St. John & his wife, Channing and Randy St. John & his wife, Christina and three precious great-grandchildren, Erica St, John, Destiney Whiteside and Chase St. John.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Monday, October 12, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, October 13, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Eli Troyer officiating followed by full military honors. He will be laid to rest on Wednesday, October 14, at 2 p.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery, 350 N. 1st Street, Nashville, NC.
