Michael Joseph  Bennett Jr.
Michael Joseph "Joe" Bennett, Jr. 49, passed away October 2, 2015. Michael was born in Biloxi, MS to Sandra Etheridge Bennett and Michael J. Bennett, Sr. Joe attended St. Matthews Catholic Church and School, and was a graduate of Indian River High School. He also was a supervisor with Quality Coatings.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Sandra and Michael Bennett, Sr.; sister, Kerry M. Bennett; brother, John E. Bennett; maternal grandmother, Geraldine C. Etheridge; aunts, Vickie G. Etheridge, Anne D. Howerton and Mary Alice Bennett; uncle, The Rev. Father Norman S. Bennett, C.SS.R.; and his canine companion, Shelly.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Prayers will be offered at 7 p.m. with the family remaining until 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 3314 Sandra Lane, Virginia Beach, VA 23464 with the Rev. Father Norman S. Bennett, C.SS.R. officiating. Burial will follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
