James Henry  McLawhorn Jr.
James H. McLawhorn, Jr. of the 3300 block of Justis Street, Virginia Beach, VA went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2015. A native of Greenville, NC, he was the son of James Henry and Annie D. McLawhorn. Mr. McLawhorn served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Pritchards' Exxon after 40 years. He is a member of Eastminister Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia M. McLawhorn and his son and daughter-in-law William and Penny Lassiter, a grandson William J. Lassiter and his wife Kim, a granddaughter, Denise Whittler and her husband Tim and six great grandchildren Kayla and Miranda Lassiter, Emmalina and William Jennings and Kayla and Isabelle Whittler all of Chesapeake. He is also survived by four sisters, Mildred Paramore of Greenville, NC, Evelyn Case of Raleigh, NC, Edna Miller of Norfolk, VA and Florence Eastwood of Greenville, NC and one brother, Robert McLawhorn of Greenville, NC and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015 in Eastminister Presbyterian Church with Pastor David Zavadil presiding. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 3-5 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home, Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, VA.
