Ruth Elizabeth “Beth” Marcum, 84 went to be with the Lord November 9, 2012. She was born to the late Carroll A. and Sallie Ruth Eure Thomas. She is a former member of Chesapeake First Pentecostal Holiness Church, the Niners Senior Citizens Club of Chesapeake and the South Norfolk Women of the Moose #947.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Avery Marcum; son, Robin Marcum and wife, Penny; daughter, Kimberly Butt and husband, George; grandchildren, Dava Dreibelbis, Luke Marcum, Keri Tessaro, Kyle Butt, Stephanie Mounts and Deloris Ooten; eleven great grandchildren; and a brother, Max A. Thomas.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 11 am at Graham Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 6 to 7:30.
