Byron E. “Boog” Abbott, Sr., 84, went home to be with the Lord October 4, 2012. He attended Laurel Avenue Gospel Hall. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 67 years, Betty Jean Abbott; daughters, Beverly Simmons, and her husband, Roger, and Joanna McClellan and her husband, Jack; sons, Byron E. Abbott, Jr. and his wife, Linda, and Timothy E. Abbott; Twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; He was predeceased by his siblings, Walter and Charlotte.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Monday, October 8, 2012 at 11 am at Graham Funeral Home with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk.
