CHESAPEAKE-Tami Shepard Leary, 45, died on September 6, 2012 in her home. She was the daughter of Geraldine (deceased) and Joseph P. Shepard of Suffolk.

Left to cherish her memory are long time companion, Jerry Shelton of Chesapeake; son, David M. Leary of Va. Beach; grandson, Anthony Findley-Leary of Chesapeake; sister, Karen Shepard of Chesapeake and brother, Joseph “Joey” Shepard of Columbia, NC. She is also lovingly remembered by Clarence “Bill” and Esther Leary of Va. Beach; Denise Findley of Chesapeake, and a host of friends.

She shared her vision and entrepreneurial spirit in the family business, Video Game Heaven. Every Christmas she donated many toys to children’s organizations. She had a great love and compassion for animals, especially her cats.

A memorial service will be announced in the near future. Memorial donations will be welcomed by the Union Mission, The Joy Fund, and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Also, as a tribute to her life, fill out an organ donation card or do a loving deed for another, just as Tami has done. Please visit her Book of Memories at www.grahamfuneralhome.com where you may leave a note to the family.
