Leslie D. “L.D.” MacDougall, Sr. 78, passed away August 20, 2018. Leslie was born in Tarboro, North Carolina to the late Leslie D. Long, Sr. and Reva Terry MacDougall. He was blessed to have a step-father who raised him as his own, the late Henry C. MacDougall. He served in the U.S. Army and was affectionately known as “Mac the Typewriter Man” to his customers at Colonial Office Machines, Smith Corona and Royal Typewriter Co. He also was a partner at Lamdin Office Machines and Atlantic Office Machines.
Left to cherish his memory is loving wife, Phyllis W. MacDougall; his son, Leslie MacDougall, Jr. and his wife Sharon; daughter, Lori Walker and her husband Geoff; granddaughter, Angela Lawrence and her husband Stevie; four grandsons, Daniel MacDougall and his wife Taryn, Kyle Walker, Alex Walker, Andy Walker; 5 great-grandchildren; as well as siblings, nieces, nephews and many friends.
