William A. Jones, 77, passed away March 22, 2018. William was born in Charlottesville, Virginia to the late James H. and Elizabeth H. Moubry Jones. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, James B. Jones and sister, Doris J. Chamberlain. William served in the United States Army and later retired as a truck driver for Beam Brothers Trucking. He was a longtime member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Shirlie Jones; son, Michael B. Jones (Melissa); granddaughter, Geneiveve Jones; sisters, Nancy Waff (Rudy) and Betty Bernice Cardwell; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services,1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 3-4 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held Monday, March 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Baptist Church, 1204 Tatemstown Road, Chesapeake.
