William "Bill" Joseph Callahan, 73, passed away July 16, 2023. William was born in Summers Point, New Jersey to the late William John and Betty Ellen Callahan, but grew up and lived in the Wayside area of Norfolk. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Donnie Lowe. Bill served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army and subsequently retired from a civil service position as a transportation assistant. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #34 AF&AM. His hobbies were cars, car racing, and car shows. He also enjoyed listening to music and going to the movie theater.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving brothers, James Callahan and his wife, Candace; and Ronnie Lowe; son, Eric Callahan; granddaughter, Bree-uhna Hamblin, nieces, Amber Curles, Dawn Callahan Pledger, Shannon Standrige, Brooke Wallace; nephews, Rustin Callahan, and Dustin Lowe; sister-in-law, Sharon Dayton Lowe; dear friends, Larry and Laura Bateman, Terry and Debbie Speer; and numerous extended family and friends too numerous to name.
