Wanda Sanderlin Young, 70, passed away April 23, 2022. Wanda was born in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late William Paul Sanderlin Jr. and Joyce Shine Sanderlin. She spent nearly all of her career in the dental field, earning her dental assisting certificate from ODU in 1973. For many years, she was a proud member of the Tidewater Dental Assistants Society and led the organization as President for two terms. She eventually left the assistant's chair and became the office manager for multiple practices where she led the introduction of computers and eventually the implementation of dental practice software. Wanda was an avid reader (and critic) of romance novels and was an excellent cook; but, her primary love was being an obsessively devoted grandmother to her Connor.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 52 years, James A.Young; son, Dale Young and his wife Teeia; grandson, Connor Young; siblings, Jeri Broughton, Paul Sanderlin (Dusty), Lisa Rybaczuk (Stan); numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and dear friends.
