Obituary for Teresa Carroll Harcum
Teresa Carroll Harcum, 73, passed away January 23, 2023 at Chesapeake General Hospital. Teresa was born in 1949 in Lincolnton, North Carolina to William and Ruthie Keener Carroll.
A 1967 graduate of Bayside High School, Teresa worked as a sales associate for many years with Leggett's, Belk's, Dillard's and several other companies. A conscientious employee, she was meticulous in all that she did and was never late for any engagement.
She loved bowling, eating out, attending gospel sings and special banquets, and walking at Greenbrier Mall each morning with her friends. She always enjoyed getting dressed up for a fun night on the town. Her greatest love was her family.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 50 years, David "Rodger" Harcum of Chesapeake; her daughter, Stacey Carpenter and husband Jonathan of Exmore, VA; son, Gary Harcum and wife Jaimee of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Andrew Carpenter and Bethany Carpenter of Exmore, VA and Madeline Harcum, Garrett Fisk and Warren Martin, all of Virginia Beach; and her favorite granddog, Scooter. She was predeceased by her parents.
The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 10-11a.m. A service to celebrate her life will begin at 11a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jonathan Carpenter officiating.
