Susan Gwynne Love, 71, passed away February 26, 2022. Susan was born in Syracuse, New York to the late Paul Fahnley and Urma Jeanne Leggett Beavers. Susan became a school teacher assistant and specialized in special needs until retiring from the Virginia Beach School System. Her hobbies were gardening outside, and watching Hummingbirds from her large bay kitchen window at her beautiful home in Chesapeake, Va. We believe she received the passion for gardening from her late Grandfather Garland " GaGa" Leggett. Also enjoyed spending time cooking , from thousands of her recipes, for family gatherings, and playing board games. However, dancing was her passion. Susan loved to travel and seek new adventures with her very loving husband. Susan was the beauty queen of her middle school, and also won many beauty pageants. She was actively involved in drama clubs during high school years, as her dream was to perform with the Hurrah Players.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 32 years, Ernest Charles Love; three children, Jennifer Aydlett, John Monroe, and Amy Monroe; six grandchildren, Victoria, Hailey, Lauryn, Savanna, Jacob and Rachel; along with five great grandchildren; three Yorkies and one late Chihuahua Lola, aka Chompers, the late loving Yorkie Bart, and the beautiful Irish Setter Molly whom she loved dearly. She took pride in trying to keep the traditional family get togethers going, with Easter lunches, Thanksgiving dinners and her extravagant Christmas Eve dinners followed by her love of sharing the Christmas Spirit.
