Obituary for Shirley Mae Lockamy
Shirley M. Lockamy, 74, was called home to be with the Lord, March 3, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, William R. Lockamy; sisters, Lula Mae Jarvis, and Annie Mable Howard.
Born in Norfolk, VA to the late Charles and Barbara Ashley, Shirley loved her family and loved to cook. She was known to make sure everyone was fed and full. Shirley retired from Rena B. Wright Primary in 2014 as a Cafeteria Worker due to health issues.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Aaron Lockamy; daughter, Edna Rosenfeldt; favorite son-in-law, Dale Rosenfeldt Sr.; two grandchildren, Dale Rosenfeldt Jr., and Adrianna Lockamy; a very special nephew, Jerry Jarvis, wife Donna; a very special great-niece, Paige Jarvis; two special great-nephews, James Jarvis, wife Morgan (children, Jayden and Paetyn), and Zachary Jarvis; brother, Charlie Red Ashley; sisters, Barbara Justice, Paulette Zedyk, and Ruth Hamilton; special caregivers and companions, Shernette, Alexis and Yvonne; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 8, 2021 from 6-8pm at Bible World, 600 Happy Acres Rd, Chesapeake. A Celebration of Life will take place Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 11am at the church with burial to follow in Riverside Memorial Park. Please send flowers to the church.
