Shelby Jean Jones, 84, went home to be with Jesus on May 22, 2022. Shelby was born in Morganton, North Carolina to the late Bruce and Evie LeFevers Duckworth . Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband, Billy Harold Jones. She was an amazing mother that sacrificed always to take care of her son, daughter-in-law and grand kids. Always ready to forgive and give of herself, she showed the love of Jesus in her care for her family and will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved son, Billy Christopher Jones and his wife Gemma of Chesapeake; a grandson, Hunter Stephen Jones; her brother, Richard Duckworth and wife, Margaret; her niece, Judy Rominger; her sister-in-law, Pamela Ransom; her three stepdaughters, Maphilline Sison, Maria Angelica Sison and Kathleen Sison; and dear family friends, Charlotte Moloer, Jack Thorne and Ruth Miller.
