Obituary for Shelba Jean DeJesus
Shelba Jean (Riggs) DeJesus passed away on May 15th, 2020, peacefully at her home in Va. Beach surrounded by her loving sons and close friend, Gretta Brak. She was born on September 8th, 1938 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Elizabeth Francis (Morris) Riggs and James Elmer Riggs. She was preceded in death by her brother, Melvin Ray Riggs. She was a graduate of Princess Anne High School Class of '56 and Old Dominion University class of '71.
She was proud of her lifetime work in the accounting profession that ended at Piedmont Fabrication (Chesapeake, Va). She was married at Kempsville Baptist Church where she then became a lifetime member.
Shelba was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, Bellamy Manor neighbor, and a good friend to many. She was the widow of Robert "DJ" DeJesus and is survived by her two sons Jay Anthony DeJesus and Mark Christopher DeJesus and five loving grandchildren.
