Sara Grinalds Erlandson, 98, passed away August 24, 2022. Sara was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Clarence Grinalds and Grace Doughty Grinalds . Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wilton C. Erlandson. Sara was the owner and operator of Metro Catering Services and member of Memorial United Methodist Church. Sara enjoyed helping others in her community, she was a former volunteer with over 5000+ hours devoted to CHKD, and also volunteered at the Food Bank of Southeastern VA, Meals on Wheels, Girls Scouts of American (Troop Leader) and longtime member of the Red Hat Society "Happy Trails".
Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Judith K. Hill, and Rebecca E. Morrison; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and dear friends.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Westminster Canterbury Hospice (Heather and her team and Mrs. Barbara) for their compassionate care of Mom.
The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 6-8pm. A service to celebrate her life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 1pm with Pastor John Cole officiating. As per her personal wishes, please no black clothing, please wear your favorite color to services. Following her ceremonies, the family is inviting all guests to join them at 1261 Tanager Trail Virginia Beach, VA 23451 for a time of continued fellowship.
