Obituary for Robert Thomas Powers Sr.

Robert Thomas Powers, Sr., Passed away on July 13, 2022. He passed away in his childhood home surrounded by his loving family. Tommy fought the hard fight with pancreatic cancer. Born in Norfolk, Virginia on May 1st, 1963 he was the son of John and Jacqueline Powers and younger brother to Johnny Powers. He worked as a crew chief for Monster Trucks Unlimited and STC Construction. Tommy loved what he did and the people he worked for.

Tommy leaves behind his loving wife of 22 years, Jeanette Powers. He was the father of Casi Howard, Brittany (Rob) Johnson, Ellen Turley, Bobby Powers (Jr.) and Mackenzi Powers. Tommy was the papa to Wyatt, Jesse, Rylan, Dale, Montgomery, Presley, and Blake. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Remi.

Tommy loved to work on anything with a motor. He enjoyed spending time with his family and being a papa to his grandkids. There were many many miles under his belt traveling all around the country doing monster trucks.

On July 24th, 2022 at 3PM there will be a Celebration of Life at the Khedive Shrine Temple, 645 Woodlake Drive Chesapeake, VA 23320.
