Robert L. Parrish, 74, passed away too soon on January 1, 2015. Robert was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Charles T. and Ida Thornton Parrish. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Charles T. Parrish, Jr. Robert was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked as a Nuclear Inspector with the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was also a long standing member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union 110.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Beverley Rooks Parrish; sons, Robert L. Parrish, II, Christopher Earl Parrish; grandson, Vincent Lee Parrish and numerous other family and friends.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Following the service, there will be a reception at Messiah United Methodist Church. He will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton, Jr. State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
